Facebook PVA Store Tips & Tricks #18
Social media is definitely NOT dead. Sure, it may have taken a back seat to the Mobile Revolution over the past couple years, but there are still plenty of businesses out there investing multi-millions in social media marketing and ad campaigns every year.
And with almost a Billion users, Facebook profits still reigns supreme in my opinion.
As an offline consultant, there are plenty of ways to leverage Facebook to land offline clients and make some handsome profit.
However, in this report, I am going to teach you just ONE very simple and quick way to build a lucrative offline consulting business using Facebook as your prospecting source and as your
If you’ve got about $50 to invest and you can follow simple directions, you can be up and
running with this business and have a paying client within 1 week.
But be warned: This method will NOT make you rich. This is method is designed to create a very low barrier of entry for yourself and for your prospective clients, making it EASY for them to pay you.
We are talking on average $97 to $197 payments here. So again, not riches, but you’ll still be
making some nice profit and getting your foot in the door with business owners.
Best of all, you’ll now have plenty of PAYING CLIENTS that you can then upsell and cross-sell other offline services for monthly residual fees to really ramp up your business.
The fact that you are reading this right now tells me either you are brand new to offline consulting, or you have not yet gained any real traction nor landed any profitable clients.
This business model can fix that, if you are willing to put in the time and effort.
With that said….let us begin.
Create and Establish Your Social Media Presence
Since this business model revolves around Facebook, it only makes sense that you will need a
Facebook presence for your business to be taken seriously.
This means you need to create a fan page for your business.
If you have never created one before, don’t worry because it’s actually very simple.
Just go here to get started, and be sure to select “website” as the type of fan page that you want to
create, as this is the easiest way to go about it:
Of course, you will need to have a Facebook profile already and be logged in to create the page.
If you are already signed into Facebook, instead of using the above URL, you can simply click
on the “create page” link at the bottom of the homepage like in the screen shot below:
When you get to this page, you’ll click on Brand or Product:
Once you click on the Brand or Product option, you’ll want to select website as the category,
then enter the name of your consulting business in the box below like you see in the image here:
Once you’ve completed that step, you’ll then finish filling out the necessary information for your fan page such as a blurb about your company/mission statement, what types of businesses you work with, what offline services you provide, your contact information etc.
This is very simple and pretty much just like filling out a basic Facebook profile so I’m not going
to walk you through step by step on how to do this.
I am confident you can handle it, but if you get caught up or have any questions don’t be afraid
to email me at my support email.
Making Your Fan Page Look Professional
I highly recommend getting some custom graphics designed for your fan page to make your business look more professional.
Fortunately, this can be done very easily and inexpensively by using our friend www.fiverr.com
Now, you basically have two options here:
Option 1 (Less Expensive, Cost: $5)
Get a custom timeline cover created for your fan page. There are plenty of designers on fiverr that can design timeline covers that look great for just $5.
Simply go to fiverr.com, search for “timeline cover” and sort the results by highest rating.
It goes without saying that you only want to place an order with a gig provider has really high positive feedback, between 98% to 100% positive feedback.
Be sure to look a lot of Positive Reviews and very little to no Negative Reviews
Option 2 (More Expensive Cost: around $25-$30):
In addition to getting a custom timeline cover designed for your company fan page, you can also get custom tabs designed to add even more professionalism and increase visitor engagement.
Check out one of my sample fan pages here:
Please note, you’ll probably have to be logged in to your Facebook account to view it.
But you’ll notice that as soon as you arrive on my page, you are instructed to click “Like” to gain
access to my page as well as a 20% discount code for my services.
This principle is known as Like-Gating or Fan-Gating, and can be a great way to increase
audience engagement and “Likes”.
Now it’s definitely not necessary to have this type of set-up for your fan page to succeed with the method you’re about to learn, but in my opinion it does add an extra level of professionalism and positions us as more of an expert.
If you are interested in getting a similar type of set up for your own fan page here is the link to the EXACT provider I used to get that fan page created:
Also take note of the gig extras available in the image below. When I placed my order I ordered the Fan Gate extra for $10 like you saw in my sample fan page above, and I also ordered the $10 extra to have Tom install the fan page for me.
I am NOT a technical person at all, so I let others take care of this stuff whenever possible. In my opinion this is a GREAT bargain.
For just $25 you are getting a high-quality, professional fan page with a fan gate that you don’t
have to worry about installing yourself.
This asset is the only online presence you need to get started and will now serve as the foundation of your new business.
I hope you’re starting to get excited!
Prospecting For Potential Clients
Now it’s time to start looking for some business.
Before you get started, you need to first decide what types of businesses you want to target.
Here is a list of businesses I recommend starting with, as I’ve had success with some of these
HVAC Repair (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Pet/Dog Groomers
Hair Salons Nail Salons Tanning Salons Wellness Spas
Please keep in mind that this is not an exhaustive list, just a good starting point. You may have noticed that I didn’t include more high profile professional businesses like attorneys, dentists, or chiropractors.
This is because I have had more success with this method with businesses like the ones I listed above.
Now this isn’t to say that you can target these professionals with this business model, but in my experience they often seem to already have a more well-established, professional Facebook presence, or they aren’t at all interested in social media for their business.
Once you’ve decided what type of business you want to target, you’ll simply search for the name
of that business in the search box at the top of any Facebook page.
Once you have clicked the search button and have your results, sort your results by click on
“Pages” in the column on the left.
For demonstration purposes, I searched “roofer” in the screen shot below:
What we’re looking for here are businesses that already have a fan page, but they do NOT have a
custom timeline cover for their fan page.
These are the types of businesses you will be contacting.
So, the roofer below would NOT be an ideal prospect to contact because as you can see they already have a custom timeline cover designed:
Here is an example of a roofing business that has a fan page but does not have a timeline cover photo. This is your IDEAL type of prospect to contact:
Your Initial Contact
Now it’s time to start reaching out and contacting businesses.
When you’ve identified a business that is an ideal prospect like I discussed above, simply click
the message button on their fan page to send them a message like in the image below:
When you are ready to start messaging businesses, simply use the script below, but be sure to change the areas of red text with your own personal info.
Here’s the script:
My name is Your Name and I have recently started my own internet marketing consulting business called Name of Your Consulting Business.
You can see our fan page here:
The reason why I am contacting you is this:
I noticed you have a fan page set up for your niche/type of business business, but you do not have a timeline cover photo.
I would like to offer to design you a custom timeline cover photo for your business free of charge.
This will make your company fan page much more engaging to your audience and convey a greater sense of professionalism.
All I ask in return is the following:
1. You “like” our fan page.
2. If you are happy with the cover photo we design for you, that you would be kind enough to share your feedback with your friends and fans on Facebook by posting on your wall and linking to our fan page.
This will greatly help us in gaining more exposure and building up a portfolio which is crucial for us as a new business.
Plus, you are getting a high-quality, engaging timeline cover photo for your business in the process at no cost to you.
If this sounds like something you think you might be interested in, simply reply to this message.
Or if you prefer, feel free to give us a call at Your Phone Number
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Hope to hear from you soon!
It’s as simple as that. For those business owners who take you up on your free offer, you’ll just head over to fiverr again and order a gig to have their custom timeline cover photo created for just $5.00.
That’s why I told you to have at least $30 to $50 budgeted to get started with. This will more than cover you to outsource your own fan page creation as well as timeline cover creation for at least several businesses on fiverr.
In the next section, I will discuss services that are logical and easy sells to business owners who take you up on your free custom timeline photo offer.
Making the Sale
Alright, so you’ve reached out to businesses with the script I provided, you got several of those
businesses to take you up on your offer for the free custom timeline cover photo…now what?
Now it’s time to make your “pitch”.
Don’t get too nervous here. You have to keep in mind that you’ve just delivered massive value to these business owners for FREE.
They are going to love you right about now! They will be highly impressed with the quality of the timeline covers that you deliver.
Remember, most business owners have NO clue about fiverr. They would never guess that you paid somebody a measly $5 to get the work done.
So at this point you should already be thinking about what service you want to pitch to actually start making some money.
The exact service or services you try to sell is obviously up to you, but I’ve had the most success
with selling fan pages and/or videos.
Selling a full blown fan page is a logical choice. Since your prospect was interested enough in getting a custom timeline cover designed for their fan page, there’s a good chance they may be interested enough to have a whole new fan page designed once they’ve seen what good work you deliver.
You don’t necessarily have to sell a whole new fan page, you can just sell new custom tabs that can be installed on your prospect’s current fan page using the fiverr gig I already gave you earlier.
You can sell “Like-Gating”, Opt-in forms, video tabs, and so much more.
I have also found animoto-style videos to work well too. Many clients find video engaging and professional, and they can instantly use them by uploading them to their fan page to share with their fans and friends on Facebook, so it’s easy for them to see the value in this service.
Of course, you are welcome to lead-in with any other service you’d like, but these are the services I have been most successful with.
Keep in mind that whatever service you decide to offer, it needs to be prices relatively low, within the $97 to $197 range.
Once you land a few clients happy to pay this amount, you can then start up-selling on more expensive services with residual monthly income.
Here’s a message template that you can use to follow-up with prospects to whom you have delivered a custom timeline photo and are now ready to pitch them on your service:
(This is after they have already given you their feedback on the timeline cover and are happy with your service)
Hello Name of Business Owner,
I’m thrilled that you are happy with the custom timeline cover we designed for you!
I also want to take a moment and thank you for your kind words and for sharing our business with all of your Facebook friends and fans.
Since you are so pleased with your timeline cover, I wanted to make you a special offer.
Would you be interested in getting a full custom fan page designed for your business?
With our custom fan pages we design stunning graphics to complement your timeline cover photo, and we include specific features that are proven to increase your audience engagement and increase your number of fans, leading to more potential customers for your business.
Some of these features include “Like-Gating”, email opt-in forms so you can build an email list of customers and prospects, or even video integration.
Normally, we charge $197 for custom fan pages like these.
But, since we already have a business relationship, we would be happy to create a custom fan page for your business for only $97.
The only catch is that we can only offer this discount for 1 week.
Anyway, if this sounds like something you think you might be interested in Name of Business
Owner, reply to this message as soon as possible, or give us a call at Your Phone Number.
As you can see, the example script I gave you focuses on offering fan page design as the lead-in service that you are trying to sell.
You can easily tailor this template to fit whatever service it is you decide you are going to pitch.
I also want to point out price discount tactic that I used. In my experience, I get better results
when it seems like I am making a business owner a special offer, saving them money.
I’m not going to start a rant on sales psychology here, but I think you probably get the idea.
Everyone loves saving money, and this includes business owners as well.
You just need to decide what the exact price is you want to get paid for a particular service and make that price your “special discount” price. You then simply mark up the “normal price” accordingly.
So let’s say for example, you want to get paid $197 for a custom fan page design.
You would then simply change the prices in your message to $297 as your normal price, and
$197 for the special discount price you are offering your prospect for 1 week.
I hope you have enjoyed this report and are excited to start taking action! (If you haven’t
For just $25, you can now have a full-fledged offline business up and running. It doesn’t get too
much easier or cheaper than that in my opinion.
Please don’t let the simplicity of this method prevent you from taking action. If you have purchased any of my previous WSOs, you know that I’m a fan of keeping it simple whenever possible, as it’s these types of strategies that often work the best.
One of the great things about this particular offline method is that it is so quick and easy to get up and running, so there is NO excuse for you to not take action.
